Alright been a long time since I did one of these. I have to get back to telling you about my doodles haha. Well nothing new has happened in my life other than getting a nice nice raise. Now I can buy myself an awesome monster computer!!
It is now the new year 2012. Hopefully this year can bring us a lot of new adventures! I want an adventure! Something to spice up my life a bit. I did take up 3 things at the end of last year that are very interesting,
1. Learning American Sign Language! (learned a lot...still going at it)
2. Poker with work buddies(2 wins so far)
3. and last but not least juggling! (to improve my hand-eye coordination and rhythm)
But I want more. Something that can be very thought provoking... we'll see what happens
Back to doodling. I want to show you a quick process of how I doodle. Here is a sad tree... not sure why I made it look sad but it ended up this way.
As you can see this is made up of little lines that just make up shapes. Nothing solid! Some do indicate shadows or ground. Line work!
Ok on this one we can see that I established that it IS a tree. I was thinking that it would be sad if leaves were burning off the tree as the tree stood there and did nothing. Just imagine you on fire but you can't even move or yell or anything. Tree's are good to us but we are not to them.
This is the final image. I used ink and markers to make it look smudgy and wet. Falling leaves are colored in read. for me it was symbolizing pieces of the tree bleeding as parts of it died. They fall and pile on the ground and become nothing but ashes.
This is a sad doodle but hey we draw what we see.
